An outstanding memorial to HMAS Sydney lost with all 645 hands in 1941 just after sinking a German vessel. The dome has 645 seagulls each to represent a home coming sailor. a number of the crew came from the British RN including the commander. It stands majesticley on the top of the hill in Geraldton where it docked a number of times. The ship was never found even though it is known approximatley where it went down. Well worth a visit.
